About

Why Podiatry?

Why seek treatment from a podiatrist, after all, it's only a foot? Do you go to your family doctor for your eyes or teeth? Legally, they are licensed to take care of them - and they can even do brain surgery. But, would you rather go have someone treat you who is specifically trained to treat feet and ankles and who went to 4 years of college, 4 years of podiatric medical school, and then 2-3 years of residency concentrating on treating the feet and lower leg (sorry, we can't take care of the ankle or leg in Alabama, which is one of only two in the nation that does not allow that)?

For us, feet are what we do day in and day out and not a sideline.

Appointments

If you would like to make an appointment, please contact our office by phone or email. If you would like to request an appointment online, click ‘Contact Us’ above. A member of our staff will follow up with you. New patients should go to the New Patient Tab for important information and instructions about appointments.

Financial

Our practice accepts cash, check, and major credit cards. We will be more than happy to submit your insurance forms for you, and we accept most major insurance providers, EXCEPT Humana unless it is Humana Seconday or Humana PEEHIP. Please call our office to verify whether your specific insurance plan is accepted. Payment plans and schedules can be discussed upon request. We do collect all copays and deductibles at the time of your visit. Sadly, deductibles have gone through the roof thanks to the government fixing healthcare so check with your insurance or HR department so you will not be surprised if you have to pay the entire office charge.

Cancellation

If you would like to cancel an appointment, we ask that you provide us with at least 24 hours notice. A fee may be charged for a no-show or late cancellation, and patients may be discharged from our practice for repeatedly missing scheduled appointments.

Services

We diagnose and treat a variety of podiatric conditions, including the following:

HOUSE CALLS

We do make house calls for bedridden, home bound patients who are also treated by the primary care physicians at their home. Most times, we get these referrals from hospice or home health nursing agencies. We do not treat someone at their house simply for convenience, so it is best to call the office and discuss whether this is an option.
